BANGKOK, 20 January 2005?Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that it became the leading vendor of high-end and gigabit/terabit routers in the Australian market in the third calendar quarter of 2004, according to leading IT market research and advisory firm IDC.

IDC’s Asia/Pacific Quarterly LAN Tracker report was published in December 2004, and covers all 14 countries in Asia/Pacific including Japan. This is a 5.0 percentage-point gain from Juniper Networks’ 47.8% in the previous quarter, continuing the company’s upward trend from 34.6% in 3Q03.

These figures follow a previous IDC report which showed that Juniper Networks became the leading high-end and gigabit/terabit routing vendor for the combined Australia and New Zealand territory, on the back of a 79.7% share of the New Zealand market, in the second quarter of 2004.
