Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya, Pattaya’s most happenin’ party venue, will be the stage of “Battle of the Bands” 2005, an exciting competition for amateur musicians and aspiring rock stars.
Following an intensive screening of talented performers from schools and universities in Pattaya, nearby provinces and Bangkok, “Rock Mid-Terms” (quarter finals) will be held on 16, 23, 30 September and 7 October 2005.
The series will lead up to the thrilling “Graduation Day” (grand finals) on 14 October 2005, coinciding with Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya’s 4th Anniversary celebration.
The band competition is in line with the efforts of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the local government to promote the City of Pattaya as “the city of music festivals”.
“Battle of the Bands” offers around Baht 400,000 in prizes, including cash prizes, possible contracts with Hard Rock Cafe International Bands Circuit, merchandise, plus high-end musical instruments and equipment for the winning band.
