Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya Welcomes PATA Conference Committee

The Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya on the 2nd of July 2005 welcomed senior executives from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Conference Organizing Committee who conducted an on-site inspection for the forthcoming PATA conference in April 2006.

PATA conference committee members, including Chairman Tunku Iskandar and Vice-Chairman Luzi Matzig, were warmly received by “Band Members” (staff) of the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya led by General Manager Andrew Khoo. Representatives of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) also joined the inspection.

The inspection team had a glimpse of the “star treatment” Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya uniquely offers its guests when they were shown musically-themed rooms, leisure and business facilities available at the four-star property.

Particularly “impressive” were the new designs and facilities upgrade of the Hall of Fame – Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya’s recently refurbished venue for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE), according to Mr. Matzig.

With a membership of more than a hundred government, state and city tourism bodies, 55 air and cruise lines, hundreds of travel industry companies, and 70 local chapters worldwide, PATA is the largest organization of its kind in the world.

The PATA Conference is held annually and sets the stage for industry professionals to exchange ideas on enhancing growth and development of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region.
