Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, Pattaya’s most happenin’ hotel, became the eastern seaboard’s most-awarded in recent months after winning no less than six (6) awards; three (3) gold medals for “Miss Bartender 2005”, Canap? Decoration, Garden Tray Setup at the recent Latino Carnival Pattaya Bartender Contest 2005 , two (2) silver medals – Fruit & Vegetable Carving Show Piece, On-Stage Fruit & Vegetable Carving and a bronze medal in the Asian Cuisine Cooking at the 11th Culinary Gathering of Cooks & Chefs-International Food & Hotel Service (IFHS), 2005.
Yasumin “Mint” Pimsang, a Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya Band Member (staff), was crowned “Miss Bartender 2005” – the main prize in this year’s “Latino Carnival Pattaya Bartender Contest 2005” held on the 31st of August 2005.
Chef Tan “Jimmy” Wee Kok (Kitchen Manager), Rungthip “Thip” Phuwatch (Commis) and Dolrudee “Daeng” Khuraprasuth (Cook2) won a second gold medal by topping the Canap? Decoration category while Prarinya “Prin” Charoenrat (Housekeeping Manager), Vinus “Nus” Dumnoi (Chief Gardener) and Yingyot “Tu” Oungjaipakdee (Florist Crew) picked up another gold medal in the Garden Tray Setup category in the recently concluded contest.
Riding high on the crest of these major achievements, Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya then won three more medals in the national “11th Culinary Gathering of Cooks & Chefs-International Food & Hotel Service (IFHS), 2005” on Thursday, the 15th of September 2005 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Silver medals were awarded to Jam Priemsungnern and Manoon “Mod” Injun in the Fruit & Vegetable Carving Show Piece and the On-Stage Fruit & Vegetable Carving categories respectively. Waran “Pop” Hiranburimsith, Chaiyaporn “Ae” Mekawong, and Sontaya “Jimmy” Nitan won the bronze medal in the Asian Cuisine Cooking category.
